About Me
Hi there, my name is Kevin Wellenzohn. I’m co-founder of Blockshake, where we work at the intersection of finance, blockchain, and cryptographic protocols with a focus on bringing these systems to user-friendly mobile apps. Some interesting projects that we worked on include:
- Defly Wallet: A self-custody wallet for the Algorand blockchain with a heavy focus on DeFi (decentralized-finance) applications.
- Deflex Protocol: A platform for liquidity-optimized trading and limit orders on Algorand. This includes smart contracts to facilitate on-chain trading, algorithms to find best swapping routes, block followers to crawl relevant on-chain events, etc.
- Secrets Recovery System: An R&D project in collaboration with world-class cryptographers to shorten the number of words in seed phrases without comprimising security.
Before Blockshake, I did my PhD at the database-technology group of University of Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Michael Böhlen and Prof. Sven Helmer. My research topic was indexing large semi-structured data. Check out my old homepage.
I spent five years at the Free University of Bolzano, from wich I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in computer science.
